Hey, welcome to the first edition of The Monthly Mo.
If you received this, I guess you may be somewhat special.
As I get older, I’m realizing life moves fast. And even though I care about staying close with people, I’m not always great at keeping everyone updated. So this is my way of being a little more intentional.
Most of my writing is done in a business setting: short, blunt, and straight to the point. I’m used to writing to accomplish something.
With this, I’ll be writing to feel something.
There will be absolutely no use of AI. Everything will be raw, genuine, and straight from my mind.
Enjoy :)

Life Update (Personal Growth)

This year, I’ve been trying to say yes to every opportunity. Especially if it’s something that makes me uncomfortable.
This month, I surfed for the first time.
Surfing was one of the most spiritual activities I’ve ever done. As someone with a very analytical mind, I struggled.
A lot.
My instructor told me I was the most difficult person he had taught in his 20 years of teaching.
That is because in almost every situation I find myself in, I think: How can I gain control? How can I take over? How can I master this? How can I win?
You do that in surfing?
Wipe out.
Every. Single. Time.
To surf, you must understand that you are at the mercy of the ocean. You cannot control the ocean. You can only control how you react to it.
Such is life.
You must flow with the waves. You must be smooth.
And I think that applies to everything else in life too: surfing, challenging situations, sex, dancing, meeting new people.
You must be smoooooth.

On a much less spiritual note, lol, Coachella was so much fun.
For the first time in a long time, my heart felt very full.
New friends, old friends, great music, and dancing like it was the last night on earth.
Highlights included:
Justin Bieber.
Drinking wine until sunrise.
Using my pashmina to whip Kayla.
Roni getting on all fours during Sexyy Red.
Being threatened with a lawsuit by our private driver. Been sued before. Not phased.
April Through the Lens
